Euralpin Tunnel Lyon-Turin (TELT)

Project

The new Euralpin Tunnel Lyon-Turin (TELT) line, scheduled to be operational by 2030, aims to enhance the competitiveness of rail freight transport in the region. The project includes the construction of one of the world’s longest railway tunnels, spanning 57 km between Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and Avressieux.

The Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne site will serve as the connection point between the French and cross-border sections of the Lyon-Turin railway line. It will link the existing network with the new infrastructure of the cross-border section.
